| Board of Directors Meeting Kidd Island Bay Home Owners Association Date: July 20, 2015 Time: 10:00 am Place: Tim Moss’s Home Board Members Present: Tim Moss, President Don Sharp, Vice President Judy Bauer, Treasurer Rick Littlejohn, via phone Agenda: Treasurer’s Report: Judy Bauer presented the HOA’s financial statement as of June 30, 2015. The balance was reported as $5,880.03. She also presented a projection of revenue and expenses for 2015-2016 using the new increased homeowners’ dues of $100.Boisen Loop: Board members, Tim and Don will again be killing the weeds along Boisen Loop in a continuing effort to maintain the repair and resurfacing performed last spring. The water district will be repairing damage to the road where a water meter needed to be reinstalled for the Thomsons, current owners of Tom Beaton’s home. When the asphalt company repairs this, Don will ask them to fill in a sink hole that has appeared across from Niles property. Last year the road was showing signs of breakage along the edge up at the north end. The area was widened with asphalt and a log was positioned so that the vehicles backing out of their driveways did not damage the road. This preventative action was successful. The Board is researching the cost of asphalting the parking area across from Bauer, Littlejohn, Ball and Thomson, again in a continuing effort to prevent damage to the road. Rick Littlejohn confirmed with the Board that this would remain a parking area for visiting vehicles and not trailers.Snow Removal: It has come to the attention of the Board that Ben Kircher will no longer be the main remover of snow from Boisen Loop. Since the Board does not have a formal agreement with Ben, this is not something the Board will be discussing. The 12 year-round homeowners who currently use Ben’s services will need to work this out between themselves by replacing Ben. If the subject arises at the annual general meeting, Tim will ask for members’ input if they want the Association to take on this responsibility.Repair of waterfront grass: Don Sharp is repairing grass along the waterfront in front of Vanilla Court caused by a homeowner’s workers building a road.Vanilla Court: There is a sink hole along Kidd Island Rd that is affecting the stability of the water meters for Vanilla Court. There appears to be a large cavern of empty space below the hole that may affect the wall along Vanilla Court. Tim and Don have contacted the County and they will be inspecting the problem and hopefully repairing it.Burn Ban: Tim will research and report to our members at the annual meeting when the burn ban will be lifted.Weeds: It was reported that a homeowner on Vanilla Court put chemical pellets into the Bay to kill the weeds. It appears to have been successful but unknown if it was legal. Tim will check with the Dept of Lands and if it’s legal research the cost. There being no further business, Don Sharp motioned and Judy Bauer seconded the motion that the meeting be adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Judy Bauer for Tim Ball, Secretary |
